Our Story

My name is Hallam Duckworth and I am the owner and founder of The Dairyy at Honeydale. Following a degree in Agriculture at Harper Adams University, I gained experience in beef, sheep and dairy production. Over the past few years I have established a flock of New Zealand Romney sheep and The Dairyy is my latest venture. I am fortunate to have considerable support from family and friends who have helped me get this project off the ground.

I grew up in a village just a few miles from Honeydale, in an 18th century farmhouse that used to have a dairy unit. The name for this micro dairy comes from a carving in the stone lintel above one of the windows of the original dairy.
